A showing of the film Nerve that tells the story of the organizing that took place around the Blue Grass Army Depot, with a guest appearance from one of the main organizers, Craig Williams. Dinner will be provided for attendees who RSVP.
Clean4ChangeKY Invites you to our showing of the movie Nerve with special guest speaker Craig Williams! Nerve is the powerful true story about the power of the people in organizing and protesting. In 1984, the US Department of Defense planned to incinerate over 500 tons of toxic gas and weapons. Instead of incineration, which would lead to harmful gases in drinking water and the air around Richmond, KY, a movement formed to find a better alternative. Craig Williams, our guest speaker, was a very committed community organizer around this, and still works on the issue today, through the organization he helped create, the Kentucky Environmental Foundation.
